Business & Delivery Head – India

Job Description: 

  • Work with the Technical Leads/Engagement Managers assigned for each client to ensure that the project is on-track and the deliverables are in line with client expectations
  • Work with the Technical Leads to make sure that the teams underneath each of the leads are motivated and address issues if any
  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance, retention and dedication
  • Form alliances with IBM & its partner ecosystem as well as Global and India clients that leverage the IBM Commerce product suites
  • Develop and Maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across our clients and business partners.
  • Evaluate operational staffing requirements and hire as needed
  • Ensure appropriate training, mentoring and advancement of team members
  • Assist in maintaining controls and security measures appropriate for the protection of assets e.g. laptops, business code of conduct and team member safety
  • Publish Billability Metrics and Analysis (market and competitive trends and insights) for leadership team
  • Drive operational excellence through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes
  • Provide authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of Retail technology strategy, solution development, project planning and execution.
  • Develop the company brand & image in the region.
  • Guide team technically when required in building solutions for Retail leveraging emerging technologies & open source tools to create value
  • Get hands-on to show the team things or get projects done on-time on budget.
  • Ensures target % of resource utilization is achieved

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience across technology consulting, business development, services sales, strategic planning and/or business operations in the technology/internet space.
  • Experience leading strategy, operations, and business development and process improvement projects at a leading consulting firm.
  • Bachelors degree in business, engineering or other relevant/quantitative disciplines required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and forecasting skills
  • Ability to work independently and to drive projects to timely completion
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of staff and management  
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop & maintain positive, effective relationships with other IBM/Client/Business Partners executives.
  • Capacity to thrive in a uncertain, dynamic, results-oriented environment, and to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Self-starter who is data driven and metric oriented
  • Handle multi tasks at any time and able to switch easily between Technical, “People” and Management roles.
