Candidates for an Associate Software Engineer position typically have major in computer science, engineering or an engineering degree with programming coursework and an interest in a technical career. The Software Engineer builds, implements, tests and supports world class software applications for some of the world’s largest companies. Responsibilities of an Associate Software Engineer include:
- Design, code, deploy, test and support customers using industry leading technology and tools
- Become an expert in the features, technical and administration of IBM Sterling OMS suite of products or Salesforce Customer 360 suite and related technologies
- Gain an understanding of the unique business and technical requirements on each engagement to implement, test and tune the solution
- Be responsive to customer demands and implement required capablities through innovative solutions, product configurations and customizations
- Produce client deliverables such as test plans, design documents, code & configuration, reports, status updates
- Maintain and expand technical and business knowledge through self-study and on-site delivery experience of projects in IBM or Salesforce technologies
- Debug and troubleshoot code and issues/defects discovered during testing
- Communicate via phone, email, face-to-face and web meetings with partners and customers to help them with software implementation
- WFH until Covid restrictions are lifted and then either WFH but Travel when needed (Mon-Thurs) or relocate to work onsite at customer locations
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 0-1 years experience as Technical Consultant /Software Developer/ Systems Analyst working on Java/J2EE, Oracle or DB2 database, Unix/Linux environments
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or Engineering
- Demonstrated strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
- Detail-oriented and produces high quality work under demanding circumstances
- Flexible to new situations and challenges
- Go-Getter willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful
- Good communication skills
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident (For US Openings), Chile citizen or resident (For Chile openings) etc. Basically Work authorization for your region of residence
Nice to have:
- Internship or work experience in Retail/eCommerce/Warehouse/Logistics
- Native Spanish speaker or Demonstrated Advanced Spanish fluency
