The SFRA .isml templates that headless replaces have to pre-render content and transfer large amounts of HTML from the server, which is inherently slow. Using front end frameworks and libraries built on React and NodeJS provide opportunities to operate exclusively on JSON, compile code into webpacks, and split rendering duties between the client and server for an optimal and efficient page load experience.
