About the Role
Perfaware is hiring a Salesforce B2B Commerce Technical Lead for our Salesforce Practice. You will lead solution design and technical delivery on B2B Commerce implementations and CloudCraze migrations. You will work with client stakeholders, product owners, designers, developers, and engineers to deliver scalable B2B and omnichannel commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Solution and Architecture
- Lead discovery sessions and translate B2B commerce, omnichannel, and supply chain requirements into technical solutions.
- Define solution architecture for B2B Commerce on Lightning, including LWR storefronts on Experience Cloud.
- Design the data model, account hierarchy, buyer groups, entitlements, pricing, and catalog structure.
- Align architecture with Order Management, Service Cloud, CPQ, Billing, and Data Cloud where in scope.
CloudCraze and Migration
- Assess existing CloudCraze implementations and define the migration strategy to B2B Commerce on Lightning.
- Map CloudCraze objects, extensions, hooks, and Visualforce customizations to native or LWC-based equivalents.
- Plan data migration for catalog, pricing, accounts, carts, orders, and customer history.
- Define cutover, rollback, and parallel-run approaches with the client team.
Development and Delivery
- Lead the build of LWR storefronts, custom Lightning Web Components, and Apex extensions.
- Apply commerce APIs, Apex, SOQL, and Flow in line with platform limits and governance standards.
- Enforce code quality through code reviews, branching strategy, and CI/CD practices.
- Support QA, UAT, and performance testing against functional and non-functional requirements.
- Plan for hypercare and stabilization after go-live.
Integration
- Design integrations with ERP, PIM, tax, payment, shipping, and search systems (SAP, Oracle, Informatica, and similar).
- Select the right pattern for each case: ESB, pub/sub, point-to-point, or batch.
- Build on Salesforce capabilities including REST, SOAP, Platform Events, and Streaming APIs.
- Work with MuleSoft as the primary middleware layer.
Leadership
- Guide and mentor senior engineers and consultants on B2B Commerce and platform development.
- Work with business architects and analysts to confirm scope, MVP boundaries, and future-state items.
- Report technical risks, dependencies, and estimates to delivery leadership and clients.
- Evaluate new Salesforce commerce releases and recommend adoption where it fits.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on Java/JavaScript development, with working knowledge of SOA, XML, REST, and JSON.
- 6+ years of Salesforce development experience, including systems integration in large, complex environments.
- 3+ years on Salesforce B2B Commerce, with hands-on CloudCraze experience (extensions, hooks, service classes, Visualforce-based storefronts).
- Delivered at least one CloudCraze to B2B Commerce on Lightning migration end to end.
- Built production storefronts on LWR (Lightning Web Runtime) with Experience Cloud and LWC.
- Delivered at least two large Salesforce implementation or integration projects.
- Strong command of the Salesforce architecture, security model, and data model.
- Experience with Apex, SOQL, LWC, and Salesforce commerce APIs.
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile delivery, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science or Information Systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce Order Management, CPQ, or Revenue Cloud alongside B2B Commerce.
- Experience with headless commerce and Commerce APIs.
- Experience with B2B patterns such as quick order, reorder, contract pricing, punchout, and approval workflows.
- Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP integrations for pricing, inventory, and order sync.
- Experience with Data Cloud for unified buyer profiles.
- Certifications:
- Salesforce B2B Commerce Administrator
- Salesforce B2B Commerce Developer
- Salesforce Platform Developer I and II
- Salesforce Administrator
- Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect (a plus)
