Solutions Architect for Mobile App

Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Solutions Architect for Mobile App to lead the architecture strategy for Perfaware’s Global Client’s’s enterprise mobile app and connected digital commerce experiences. This strategic role combines deep mobile engineering expertise, omni-channel solution design, and strong leadership influence to establish scalable architecture patterns, reusable capabilities, and consistent engineering standards across native app, mobile web, desktop web, CMS, commerce services, and partner channels. The successful candidate will partner closely with Product, Program, UX, platform engineering, backend services, QA, DevOps, release management,
and implementation partners to deliver high-performing, secure, maintainable, and customer-focused mobile commerce solutions.

This role will act as the senior architecture advisor for mobile app initiatives, helping teams make sound technical decisions, promote reuse across channels, and align mobile app architecture with broader multi-channel and omni-channel commerce priorities. The role requires a collaborative leader who can influence without relying solely on direct authority, mentor engineers and technical leads, communicate complex architecture concepts to leadership stakeholders, and foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, partnership, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration – Provide senior technical leadership across mobile app initiatives, partnering with Product, Program, UX, backend services, CMS, QA, DevOps, Release Management, Performance, and implementation partners.
• Mentor engineers and technical leads across North America, India, and partner teams, fostering a culture of accountability, reuse, engineering discipline, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
• Communicate architecture direction, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership, stakeholders, and delivery teams.
• Influence technical decisions across multiple teams without relying solely on direct reporting authority.

Technical Architecture and Strategy
Mobile App Architecture Leadership

• Define and evolve scalable, secure, high-performance mobile app architecture across React Native hybrid, Swift iOS, Android Kotlin, commerce services, CMS, and shared experience layers.
• Act as solution architect and technical advisor for enterprise mobile app and digital commerce initiatives.
• Establish reference architectures, reusable integration patterns, shared libraries, performance guardrails, release-readiness criteria, and observability expectations.
• Partner with platform architects, backend principals, mobile engineering managers, and delivery leaders to align technical direction with business priorities.

Platform Development and Engineering Excellence

• Provide hands-on technical guidance to mobile app and digital commerce engineering teams on architecture, code quality, scalability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Guide implementation of reusable UI patterns, shared components, design system governance, and Storybook practices across app and web channels.
• Manage integration strategies between Contentful CMS, mobile app services, APIs, authentication, personalization, analytics, and mobile app experience layers.
• Drive adoption of CI/CD practices, automated testing expectations, architecture review discipline, release governance, and engineering playbooks.

Multi-Channel and Omni-Channel Solution Design

• Lead solution design that connects mobile app experiences with broader multi-channel and omni-channel commerce capabilities.
• Promote reuse of capabilities, components, APIs, content models, and experience patterns across native app, mobile web, desktop web, and partner channels.
• Drive consistency in how product groups design and build customer experiences across channels while preserving flexibility for channel-specific needs.
• Support modernization from channel-specific implementations toward shared, API-driven customer experience capabilities.

Delivery and Product Partnership

• Partner closely with Product and Program leadership on enterprise-scale mobile app and digital commerce initiatives.
• Translate business goals into pragmatic architecture approaches, technical options, and implementation guidance that enable predictable delivery.
• Provide regular architecture updates, risk assessments, dependency visibility, and technical recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support delivery teams with technical guardrails while maintaining clear separation between architecture ownership and day-to-day feature delivery management.

Required Technical Expertise

• Mobile App Architecture – Proven experience designing enterprise mobile app solutions across React Native hybrid, Swift iOS, Android Kotlin, native integrations, performance, observability, and release-readiness practices.
• Mobile Commerce Capabilities – Strong understanding of mobile shopping experiences, product discovery, cart and checkout flows, customer account features, loyalty, personalization, push notifications, analytics, and order-related journeys.
• Multi-Channel Experience Architecture – Experience designing reusable capabilities and shared experience patterns across native app, mobile web, desktop web, CMS, and partner channels.
• CMS and Content Integration – Experience with Contentful or similar CMS platforms, content modeling, localization, content delivery, and front-end consumption patterns.
• Engineering Standards – Ability to define architecture principles, coding standards, testing expectations, performance budgets, documentation practices, and reusable engineering playbooks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 12+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on mobile app, digital commerce, or customer experience platforms.
• 5+ years in technical leadership, solution architecture, or principal engineering roles.
• Deep experience with mobile app development, API-driven integrations, CMS-enabled experiences, and enterprise commerce platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to influence architecture decisions across distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for executive, product, and engineering audiences.
• Proven ability to build trust, collaborate across teams, mentor engineers, manage technical ambiguity, and drive alignment in a matrixed organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Experience in retail, luxury retail, fashion, digital commerce, or global direct-to-consumer platforms.
• Experience with enterprise mobile app programs, app store release processes, mobile analytics,performance optimization, and integrations with modern API platforms.
• Experience with design systems, Storybook, shared component libraries, reusable UI patterns, and cross-channel governance.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, automated testing, release governance, observability, and cloud-based delivery models.
• Background in performance optimization for high-traffic mobile app and digital commerce experiences.

By strengthening mobile app architecture, improving reuse across channels, and driving consistent omni-channel solution patterns, the Solutions Architect for Mobile App will help accelerate delivery, improve platform quality, reduce duplication, and enable more scalable customer experiences across the enterprise. The role will also strengthen collaboration between architecture, engineering, product, and delivery teams while raising the technical maturity of the broader Digital Commerce organization.
